According to reports, the Portugal international has told United’s new supervisor Erik ten Hag that he wants to leave Old Trafford. This has left him with a limited transfer window to find a new club. According to Bayern Munich, Cristiano Ronaldo has already met with Jorge Mendes and will hold talks with the German club.
Last week, Barcelona announced a third bid for Lewandowski, valued at more than EUR40 million. However, Bayern Munich chief Oliver Khan has publicly denied that Lewandowski is for sale. Meanwhile, United insist Ronaldo is not for sale, despite reports claiming otherwise. United sources claim that United managers “want and expect” Ronaldo to remain with them next season. However, the United hierarchy would prefer the Brazilian to join another club.
Kahn’s comments will boost Man Utd’s chances of keeping Ronaldo. The Portuguese international has been linked with a move to Bayern and has even requested an indefinite leave from Manchester United.
